I had a quick look at that on Twitter (when it broke earlier on the Transfer rumours thread ) and spotted a couple of "Don't care what he's done, he'll score us goals" comments.
Some people need to get their priorities sorted.
The "I know he's a convicted rapist who's had his appeal binned twice but he may be able to kick a ball into a goal for my team so I don't care what he's done" attitude is utterly abhorrent and it sums up the modern game perfectly.
I truly hate modern football.

I'd leave it.
It's a potential new low amongst a whole pile of record lows for BWFC, so it deserves its own thread in my view.

6 months ago I'd have said "no way", but right now I think this could be the only way to score a few goals.
I don't believe he did it if I'm honest.

Well, we eventually ditched the Wonga-as-sponsor idea (after pressure from local MPs), so hoping this proposal will go the same way. I want a club I can be proud to support.
Diouf's spitting in others' faces was bad enough.....

I want what is best for the club, and if it includes a convicted rapist keeping us up then so be it.
**Although I do believe it will be overturned.

Seriously, let's put our weapons down on the floor for a sec and suspend hostilities.
Do you honestly mean that?

Absolutely definitely. Two reasons:
1) The club's survival is more important than the fan's morals.
2) I don't think he did it.

Re - Point No1:
If someone gave you a gun and said "Shoot the baby or BWFC folds tomorrow", you would do it then?

I wouldn't go that far, there's a world of difference between shooting a baby and a convicted rapist scoring a few goals.

So morals do count for something then.
Where do you stand on beating a kitten to death then to save the club?

You seem obsessed with killing.
We're talking about signing a criminal, not killing someone.
