I used to quite like him years ago.
He was a very talented amateur and he unified the cruiserweight division when he turned pro, before moving up to heavyweight.
He seemed quite switched on and was a refreshing change from the usual, bumbling dullards you get in the heavyweight division.
He was funny, articulate and most of all, he had the tools to get the job done.
But then he started ducking proper fights (Klischko the Younger) and only picking bouts against lesser opponents.
The Valuev fight was a farce and he did more running than Mo Farah during it.
The Ruiz fight was a decent enough test and he did ok.
But then decided to fight Audley Harrison - #pointless. Nuff said.
And then when he did finally come up against a Klitschko, he lost.
And said he had a poorly toe which stopped him from unloading bombs.
Yes, David......course you did.
And then he retired.
But now he's back, after explaining on Soccer AM yesterday that we'd all got it wrong and he hadn't actually retired at all.
I now think he's a knob who has picked his fights very carefully over the years and slid to a world title via the back door.
He's made his money and that was obviously the plan all along but I don't respect him as a fighter at all.
In fact, if he ever fought that gypo, I'd be cheering for Scotty's mate.
Anybody like him?
