Fair play to the ref. Think he played a blinder. Could of been 3 or 4 sent off with a different ref

Agreed. A bad ref could have ruined that game.

I'm just glad it's not the same old teams winning the Prem.
It really does make a refreshing change!

Leicester won it fair and square. They have won 22 games so far which is three more than their closest rivals, Spurs. Credit where it is due because Leicester deserve all the plaudits and then some.

I said in the preamble to this that Spuds could hand it to them and they sure did after Cahill pulled a goal back - they totally and completely lost the plot instead (as Nat rightly points out) focussing on winning the game. By the time it was 2 -2 there were so many stoppages there was no time left to try to score as they had to do.
It was obvious from the beginning that Spurs were out to rile Chelsea and that was a disappointment especially from the young England players like Rose and Dyer. If they'd put as much effort into the game they'd have won.
Absolutely chuffed for Leicester. We've had years of big clubs effectively buying the title so that has to give hope to everyone else, even if it's a total one-off.
Shame they've already spent their winnings on player and manager bonuses.

Wander, they'll probably make that, and more, with increased advertising revenue,

They will get far more live game coverage from Sky Sports next season. Aside from the 100 million just for being in the Premiership they will bank between 50 and 75 million from TV rights and sponsorship money alone.

I'm just glad to see in my lifetime a club other than the top four winning it.

Don't forget 1929 mate! And no, there is no truth to the rumour that I was there for all of them no matter how old my lads might think I am.gloswhite wrote:other than the 1923, 26, and 58 finals

Wouldn't it be nice if we could say the same for the first 4 games next season ?
