How many of the young players we have ever released in this way have gone on to achieve great things?

With all these young players going it seems that they have given up on the Academy. It doesn't bode well for Jimmy Phillips future at the club.
Will we have enough players left to even field a second 11 ?

still can't get my head around Threlkeld, he looked good in the games when he came back and he can play in 3 different positions, very puzzled and annoyed to be losing him.

Can't even afford to keep one of the few who's come through the academy and shown some promise and has already gained some much needed League One experience?
Administration - nailed on.

Just because someone has League 1 experience doesn't make them a good player.
Some transgender people are looking forward to spending your £25.

What are you planning on spending it on?

Delighted to see the back of Heskey, although it only further begs the question, what the frig has he been doing in the team all this time?
Yes, let's plan for League One by giving that 38 year old kid a run.
Fair play to him though, I never thought he'd get five matches for us, let alone forty-five. The goals per game number is perhaps less surprising.

I'm disappointed to see Threlkeld and Thomas go. Thomas has looked the real deal for the youth teams and I was looking forward to seeing him develop.

Released Wanderers defender White lands Posh deal
Hayden White has signed for Peterborough United less than a week after his exit at Wanderers was confirmed.
The former Sheffield Wednesday defender spent this season on loan at Blackpool and was one of 21 players released at the Macron last Friday.
He becomes the first signing of the summer at London Road, where Grant McCann has just taken over from Graham Westley as manager.
White said: “I know what Peterborough are all about in terms of their style of play and that suits me down to the ground. I saw in the game recently just how good they are, the players are all fighting for one another and I am really happy to be here.
“It is good to get everything sorted before the summer and I can look forward to pre-season now. There are some good players at the club and I am excited to get started.”
White made five appearances in total for Wanderers, including three starts.

Given that the embargo lifting doesn't appear to be imminent White, Maher & Threlkald would at least given us the opportunity to resign them as they are under 24, and in Whites case would have given us some experience of playing in L1. I hope there is a plan in place, but one isn't obvious and there aren't too many positive reassuring noises coming out of the club at the moment. There seems to be plenty of talk of problems and very little talk of solutions.
