Plane down.

On way to Egypt suddenly goes down with may day not being sent.

The plane is an airbus with exemplary safety record

Not looking to good for those on board.

Whilst Airbus have an a great safety record, they still need maintaining to a standard.

With these cheap airline companies it does make you wonder if the maintenance is being followed to the manufacturers instructions.

Obviously terrorism. Bastards. Planes don't just fall out of the sky.

When there is no advance warning or mayday it tends to indicate an explosion on board. Not looking good tbh.

Reported to have turned sharply 90 degrees then back through 360 degrees before plummeting down. Not looking good and possible third party involvement. Wreckage has been found so hopefully the black box will give some clues if it can be found.

They're going to have to start fitting chaff dispensers to commercial airliners soon.

There's a story did the rounds that Concorde was fitted for but not with chaffe dispensers, but was also proposed as a replacement nuclear bomber as the V-force were knocking on a bit. I think most of these stories came about as Concorde flew with the Red Arrows occasionally.
On the subject of the Egyptian airliner, it is now coming out that quite a number of the air-side workers were suspended after some were deemed to have been radicalised. Now if you can get a device on an aeroplane out of Charles de Gaulle airport then it has to have been a complete cock up.

And herein lies the problem. The enemy are well and truly within. A blanket policy of appeasement in the interests of multi-culturalism has left us and the rest of Europe at the mercy of those who wish to do us harm.

Gutted about this as I love diving in the Red Sea and was thinking about going back. I'll have a massive problem persuading the missus now.
