Went to see Peter Gabriel at the o2 tuesday, what a powerful tight band he has and the voice superb, had to laugh at the girls, he say's tonight we are going back 26 years and are going to do the. S0 album in its entirity as it was recorded so he does and there's a tiny gap between songs like on the album and the girls are looking bemused halfway through so i say's whats up and they both say its very strange he's not talking between songs:rofl: anyway's what a performance brilliant sledgehammer, finished with some other album tracks last one was Biko which i must admit never been keen on, love shock the monkey though and Intruder.

Not a big Peter Gabriel fan but So is a fantastic album. Some great songs and some very moving music as well.

I've always wanted to go to see U2 in concert, particularly in Ireland if they even did one again.
Loved the concert they did when they were in Slane Castle, shame I didn't get an opportunity to see that live as it looked like a lot of fun!
In actual fact, I've never been to a concert before!

I agree SK. She always had a wonderful voice and she has matured with age like a fine wine.. Still an attractive woman for 63. It must be all that raw fish and gravlax.
If you like them a bit younger then this little cheeky chirpy cockney canary ticks all the boxes.

Good stuff RT, my youngest is a big fan, but that doesn't say much cos she's into Nikki Minge and she does piss me off!
Back to AF, she did a gig last night for Children in Need and did a duet with Barlow from her album. What a looker she is!!

Won't play them on my iPad for some reason but The Jam were a great band at the time. Saw them at Salford Uni and the Apollo a few times. Got a bit pissed off with Weller when he split them and started Style Council. I wouldn't listen their stuff and realised after they split what a great band and what a knob I'd been.
Seen Weller and his band a few times, met Steve Craddock(Wellers band and Ocean Colour Scene) through a friend and found out he lived in Bolton for a while and drunk in some of the pubs I frequented. In fact the friend was quite surprised I hadn't met him before, cos he supped in the same pubs as me.

I agree SK. If I still had lead in my pencil and AF was feeling the cold, I would happily give her a hot beef injection. I don't like Nikki Minge at all but I do think Emeli Sande has a wonderful voice.Soul Kitchen wrote:Good stuff RT, my youngest is a big fan, but that doesn't say much cos she's into Nikki Minge and she does piss me off!
