The truth is, Thomas got too big for his boots, thought he was better than he is and was binned off to give a pay rise to the better player in samizadeh

And of course no footballer in history has been released by a club and then gone on to do anything.

Danny Ings was playing first team football for your men at the same age as Thomas is now.

And Charlie Austin was playing for Poole Town at the same age.

Shows that we may just have an eye for these forwards.

Listen, have you seen Thomas play? No. Have I? Many occasions. He's a decent finisher but has nothing else in his locker

You certainly do!

Burnley: Marvin Sordell join Clarets

Well that's something to work with then if he's a decent finisher.

Dyche says that Andre Gray is still learning the art of being a forward and he's in his mid twenties.

This Thomas fella may not make it at all but things aren't as black and white as you've put it in this thread.

If we'd have spent £3 plus million on Sordell to lead our attack then it would be seen as a failure.  Very Happy

As it was he was a non gamble and was a back up to the back up forwards.

Still cost you money though!

He was a complete stump, clearly he has talent but not the attitude.

An absolutely disastrous signing for us - which I said so at the time - we clearly needed someone for the massive loss of Holden in midfield.

Instead our hero clearly panic bought someone he'd obviously never scouted and bet the house on Sordell saving us from relegation.

Half a season later and with just two sub appearances from young 'homesick' Marvin, we were relegated with a team that quite frankly my granny could have kept up.

Thank you Owen, wonderful management.

Amazed you didn't get mentioned for the England job!

We once had a player called Ivan Klasnic. He couldn't do anything but finish, but what a finisher!

I'd rather have a finisher that does fuck all else rather than a striker who does fuck all. Like Madine.

I didn't miss your point, I was just adding to it, hence starting my post with 'and'.

There was also no need to get paranoid with post 32 on this thread, as it was just a harmless question.

Well the declaration of not having a pop after having been asked a civil question, could be thought of as being a little bit paranoid.

It doesn't matter though, it's only happened twice in this thread.

Fuck me how sensitive are you, I'd hate to see it if people really let rip here.
Of course written words can't give the same context or tone as spoken words so can be interpreted differently so try this
GET A FUCKING GRIP

Phil Brown is prostituting himself for the England job alongside Sam and also for the Sunderland job, after his my heartstrings are with Bolton comments last season you have to imagine that he isn't 100% happy at southend.
He seems to put himself up everytime a job comes up.
