Wanderers bounced back from last weekend’s defeat to Peterborough United with an impressive 2-0 victory over Millwall on Saturday.
A Josh Vela wonder-goal opened the scoring before Tom Thorpe's second half header ensured the Whites returned to winning ways at Macron Stadium.

On his side's response after last weekend's loss...
I’m so pleased because when you lose a game, the response is always important.
We’ve had a few setbacks this week with Mark Howard and David Wheater's injuries, so a strong character was needed today and it was shown.
I thought we did everything we set out to do pre-match so I’m very pleased with the win.
On his returning captain's performance...
Jay Spearing was immense; his calmness on the ball, his heart, his football ability.
Having him out there obviously helps because he’s a leader and when we come up against teams who play 4-4-2, we have that extra man in midfield and, with the footballing ability he has, we’re difficult to face.
On Josh Vela's recent form...
Josh is at the top of his game right now and he added to that with a very good finish.
His energy to drive the team forward I thought was excellent and he’s playing very well.
He’s seen as quiet but he’s a winner and sometimes leadership qualities can be shown in different ways whether vocally or through the quality of your play.
I felt that Josh really led the charge today with his dynamic running and I’m very happy he’s recently signed a new contract with us.
On his squad's strength in depth...
Obviously losing Wheater was a blow but I thought Derik added another dimension to our play with his footballing ability.
Often when you play at home and you know you’re going to have a lot of the ball so to have one of your centre half’s who can play like that gives us a huge bonus.
Equally, I thought Tom Thorpe came on at half-time and made a great contribution with his overall performance and his goal.
On his side's current league run...
We have six out of seven victories in the league and we are wanting to continue that.
At some stage, in any division, every team is going to suffer defeats. What is important for ourselves and the supporters is not to get too low when we do lose, but let’s sit back and find the answers to how we can turn it around.
The staff this week have sat down and discussed what needed sorting out and we got a response today. The intensity of our previous displays was back as well as the quality.
And finally, on looking ahead to Tuesday night's home clash with Coventry City...
We use this game to spur us on and to make sure we don’t get complacent.
I’ve seen Coventry on a few occasions and they’ve got some good players.
When you look at their squad, it’s a wonder why they’ve had such a difficult start so we have to be ready to show the same intensity levels as we did with today’s victory.
