Bolton Wanderers are pleased to confirm the signing of Antonee Robinson on loan from Everton.
Predominantly a left-back, the 19-year-old moves to Macron Stadium on a temporary deal until January and becomes the Whites’ fourth signing of the week after Reece Burke, Josh Cullen and Aaron Wilbraham.
Born in Milton Keynes but a former United States of America youth international, the defender made three appearances in last season’s Checkatrade Trophy, including Everton’s 2-0 victory over Bolton at Macron Stadium.
Robinson also played an integral part in Everton Under-23s' Premier League 2 title triumph in 2016/17, having previously picked up the club’s Under-18s Players' Player of the Season honour at their annual Academy Awards.
Although yet to make his senior debut for the Toffees, he did travel with the first team to Singapore as part of their squad for the Barclays Asia Trophy in 2015 as well as featuring in a pre-season trip to Scotland and starting against Leeds United.
And ahead of Wanderers’ Sky Bet Championship opener against the Peacocks, the defender makes the move to BL6 for his first taste of senior football away from Goodison Park.
Speaking to bwfc.co.uk after joining the club, Robinson said: “As soon as I heard about the opportunity to come to Bolton Wanderers I was buzzing.
“The chance to pay at such a high profile club is one that I’m relishing. It’s my first loan move so it will be a big step up but it’s a challenge I am ready for.”
Whites manager Parkinson added: “We have been looking for a left back for a while. We like the look of Antonee, he is a good defender.
“He has great athleticism, he’s young, hungry and was keen to join us. He is a good addition to the squad.”
