It might be Halloween and the ghoulies and ghosties may yet to call on you but in all seriousness beware of your tumble dryer!

Apparently up to a million homes have faulty dryers that have caused fires and led to deaths.

This isn't a joke.

It's the first I've heard about it but read the BBC link below for more details particularly if you use a Hotpoint, Creda and Indesit brand dryer bought over the last twelve years.

Seems to have been a massive scandal that no one seems to have heard of?

I guess we will just have to all peg out our smalls on the washing line to dry like we used to do in the good old days!

We bought a new hotpoint dryer 12 months ago.  Only used it the last couple of weeks because our maiden broke.

We never leave ours on if we go out or when we go to bed just to be safe. We've had 2 white knight ones over the last 10 years and are great. Our is on practically every day and last for years.

I thought it was the BEKO brand of goods that were a big problem.

My missus decides to switch them on when we go to bed, which pisses me off, as she goes to sleep, and I can hear them going. I'm slowly getting her used to the idea that they can be turned on after tea, and before bed. Been reasonably successful over the last 6 years, but still working on it  Very Happy
