DARREN Pratley faces at least six weeks on the sidelines after scans showed a fracture in his fibula.

The Wanderers skipper limped off in Monday’s 1-0 win over Hull City fearing he had fractured the same ankle which kept him out for the majority of last season.

Medics are hopeful the 32-year-old will return to Championship action by March but with Karl Henry also side-lined for between two and three weeks with hamstring damage, Phil Parkinson has issues in midfield for this weekend’s FA Cup clash with Huddersfield Town, plus league outings at Brentford and at home to Ipswich Town.

Reports linking the Bolton boss with a move for French midfielder Toumani Diagouraga, whose contract at Plymouth Argyle has expired, have been dashed from inside the club.

Wondering if he'd risk Derik or Karacan at this stage?

Probably will Saturday due to lack of numbers

Worrying this as our improved form coincided with Pratley getting a partner in the middle and now they're both out. Worse still is an improvement in form of the teams around us, especially Burton who have won 3 and drawn 1 in their last 5 games. Even Brum and Sunderland have won 2 and drawn 1 in 5. I suppose Reading and Barnsley are having a mare ATM but there's nowt in the bottom 6 places and we need to push on to stay clear - this won't help.

Pratley is useless, Henry will be a loss though.

7 teams trying to avoid the drop and another 3 (Millwall, QPR and Sheffield Weds) looking over their shoulders.  We need to play one game at a time and try to get maximum points.  January transfer window could help out those around us... assuming we have little or no money to buy.  Injuries are just part of the game... and hopefully we will have players to step up and replace Prats and Henry.  Sunderland lost Gibson for 12 weeks as well.  Burton's resurgence can happen to anyone... who predicted we would win 9 of 12 points during the holiday?  We just need to worry about winning one at a time and not worry about those around us... of course losing to Burton at the Macron didn't help us. Parky forced into new formations by the injuries and maybe that will be a good thing!  Let's see if KA can pull a rabbit out of his depleted pockets for our squad in January!

On the bright side at least defensive midfielders are cheaper to replace than attacking midfielders.Brentford and Ipswich are both matches we have reasonable prospects of getting points from so I would hope one is brought in by then

Henry is a big blow for is. Hopefully we can get some signings done quickly to help ease the situation.
