Wanderers slumped to a 3-0 home defeat against Nottingam Forest on a miserable night at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Which players stood out? And which ones take the brunt of fans' frustration? Marc Iles gives his verdict.

WANDERERS (4-2-3-1)

BEN ALNWICK…6.5 Made a smart penalty save and a couple of other valuable contributions. Should he have done better with the shot prior to the second penalty? Maybe.

MARK LITTLE…5 Not a happy return to the side for the full-back, called upon after Pawel Olkoswki fell ill. Not given a great deal of help in the early stages, either.

DAVID WHEATER…6.5 Stopped a couple of clear shots on goal by getting his body in the way but never completely on top against the Forest attack.

JACK HOBBS…6 Unhappy reunion with Forest and even though he held firm for the most part, Grabban’s movement caused no end of worries for the two centre halves.

ANDY TAYLOR…5
Back in the side after injury but constantly penned in by Dias. Like Little, did not exactly get a lot of help in front of him.

JASON LOWE…5 Took a yellow for the team after Wildschut’s poor pass had put Wanderers in trouble and perhaps lost a bit of bite as a result.

JOE WILLIAMS…5 Isn’t hiding away and looked to get on the ball but the youngster saw very little come off for him on the night.

CRAIG NOONE…4.5 Recovered from a nightmarish start to have some influence in the game but the winger is much, much better than this.

JOSH VELA…7 Back in the starting line-up and perhaps the one player who did himself some justice, getting about the pitch very well.

YANIC WILDSCHUT…3.5 A night to forget for the Dutch winger who, not for the first time, was hooked at half time. Serious questions over his decision making.

JOSH MAGENNIS…5 Had a half-chance just before the interval with a header but otherwise it was another fruitless night.

Subs: Donaldson 5, 46 (for Wildschut), Oztumer 5, 69 (for Lowe), Doidge 75 (for Taylor)

Not used: Matthews, Little, Wilson, Dyer.

Nottingham Forest (4-5-1): Pantilimon, Darikwa, Dawson, Figueiredo, Robinson, Colback, Guedioura, Carvalho, Lolley, Dias, Grabban

Subs: Cash 67 (for Dias), Soudani 78 (for Carvalho)

Not used: Steele, Watson, Osborn, Janko, Hefele

Referee: Andy Davies (Hampshire) 5/10 - Two poor penalty calls.

Attendance: 13,195 (1,001)

Attendance 13,195- my arse!!The place as two thirds empty. There was about 8000 three last night
Most of the players deserve a rating of 2.
Only Vela Wheater ands Alnwick deserve more

Those scores are all 3 marks too high. I didn't think Vela was anywhere near a 7.

Harsh an noone and Williams imo.

It's not their fault no one else was getting into the right positions. Williams started very well but faded away as the game went on. Noone looked to keep going but no one was ever there to finish.

All the hype about doidge getting his first and then not a sniff. Not going to do his confidence any good

Our wingers are shit. None are as good as Morais. And he plays in League 2.

I see  why Wildshunt is out on loan from Norwich.

Whenever he gets the ball, he invariably sets off at speed,  then loses the ball or falls over, or both.
