Wanderers slumped to a 3-0 home defeat against Nottingam Forest on a miserable night at the University of Bolton Stadium.
Which players stood out? And which ones take the brunt of fans' frustration? Marc Iles gives his verdict.
WANDERERS (4-2-3-1)
BEN ALNWICK…6.5 Made a smart penalty save and a couple of other valuable contributions. Should he have done better with the shot prior to the second penalty? Maybe.
MARK LITTLE…5 Not a happy return to the side for the full-back, called upon after Pawel Olkoswki fell ill. Not given a great deal of help in the early stages, either.
DAVID WHEATER…6.5 Stopped a couple of clear shots on goal by getting his body in the way but never completely on top against the Forest attack.
JACK HOBBS…6 Unhappy reunion with Forest and even though he held firm for the most part, Grabban’s movement caused no end of worries for the two centre halves.
ANDY TAYLOR…5 Back in the side after injury but constantly penned in by Dias. Like Little, did not exactly get a lot of help in front of him.
JASON LOWE…5 Took a yellow for the team after Wildschut’s poor pass had put Wanderers in trouble and perhaps lost a bit of bite as a result.
JOE WILLIAMS…5 Isn’t hiding away and looked to get on the ball but the youngster saw very little come off for him on the night.
CRAIG NOONE…4.5 Recovered from a nightmarish start to have some influence in the game but the winger is much, much better than this.
JOSH VELA…7 Back in the starting line-up and perhaps the one player who did himself some justice, getting about the pitch very well.
YANIC WILDSCHUT…3.5 A night to forget for the Dutch winger who, not for the first time, was hooked at half time. Serious questions over his decision making.
JOSH MAGENNIS…5 Had a half-chance just before the interval with a header but otherwise it was another fruitless night.
