Adam Johnson, former England star, has been released from prison overnight.

Loads of talent and could provide the fillip the fans need at this time.

What was it you said some time back Hipster about separating the person from the art (or something like that).

Generally I could possibly agree with that, Bonce I believe made a good point about Eric Gill (there was a good documentary of his life I saw a while back and I was going to link to it for anyone who might have found it of interest but in the end I couldn't find it).

However in this particular case I rather think no one would think it to be a good idea for him not to be in the public arena in any future way

It was a BBC4 documentary. Link below:

He wasn't banged up for anything but he did sexually abuse his daughters, sisters and dog. Shocked

Let's not bother with him then

Didn't he admit to fiddling with a minor? BWFC has had enough bad press recently to be saddled with him too

He got a BJ from a fifteen year old.

I think you have slightly crossed your wires here.

Gill did the above but was never locked up but Johnson (to whom I think Rammy was asking the question of) did, for having under age sex.

No. This isn't like the Evans case where I went off on one without properly reading the background. This man is a self confessed sex offender against a minor.

Not only that but he's 31 and won't be anywhere near match fit for months assuming he could get there at all. Chuck in the absolute PR disaster that signing such an individual would be and there's absolutely no up-side to going anywhere near this guy.

I suspect Hipster was joking by posing the question at all but just in case he isn't I'd say not just no but "Hell no!"

I’m so sad that I’ve disappointed a stranger. Sorry
