Also all the song, But those lines quoted mainly, as an anthem of the poor if we get a no-deal Tory Brexit, which no-one voted for, and half the Tories are against also.

I know you weren't Sunlight but if you stay on this website you'll soon understand that we behave in idiosyncratic ways and that frequently posts take completely unexpected and random journeys. We don't behave in an utterly linear fashion-  and that's what makes this site so interesting.

Aah right, thank you mr. Rammywhite. Random is good.

Johnson on these talks on telly with Merkel and Macron. Its like he is a Comedy Villain. Merkel, Macron and the rest of us ( who have any sense ) are laughing at his obvious attempts to hide his knowledge that he wont get anywhere. We are amused at his Vaudevillian demeanour. If no deal goes through his first speech will be to tell the working class to start keeping Chickens and Pigs in their gardens or starve.

I don't see this at all. I think you are seriously underestimating him, Even if he doesn't come out with what he and we want, at least he's making the effort, whilst Corbyn and the other parties are working out how to reverse a law that they all agreed to not that long ago. He may be the comedy villain in your eyes, but he's a better diplomat than either Corbyn or Swinson would be.
(enter TROY and XM, who have been very quiet over the past couple of days).  Very Happy

..... "he's a better diplomat than either Corbyn or Swinson would be....."

Glos, Try telling that to Nazanin Zeghari Ratcliffe or her husband.

The blustering showman is a disastrous slip of the tongue/brain just waiting to happen.

I have to agree. He's a typical 'shout loud enough and these foreign jonnies will understand' Brit.

Sorry to raise this with you Glos- but there are millions of us who don't want what he wants at all. We want him to fail in leaving the EU without a deal and we still want him to fail in taking us out of the EU at all. . I know you will see us as just a set of moaning remainers- but a very substantial proportion of the population ( and its a growing proportion as well) would rather remain. And if he succeeds and the whole country turns to shit on November 1st and then for months after that, we'll point the finger at you and others who were hellbent on leave under any circumstances and say that you caused this. And there will be no hiding place. The country may have voted leave but not under the omnishambles that will come from Boris's no deal scenario. When will he listen? 27 countries are saying in unison that the deal has been agreed and its not changing. And it won't.
At some stage he'll need to start listening to them and not expect them to listen just to him.. I'm sorry to say it but he's deluded.

Glos won't be replying to this as it is factual evidence contradicting his wild claim. Smile

The EU is coming to the end and brexit is speeding up it's demise.

But when the country begins to prosper outside of the EU will you be thanking us?

No -I won't because it will be chaos  and every indicator points exactly to that including the governments own think tanks  proposals. Which the buffoon in charge of us all now has chosen to ignore with his  nonsensical statements. Most of this country doesn't take him seriously - so why should our European counterparts/ partners take him seriously.
There will be nothing to thank you for as it will be a disaster.

There will be a bit of chaos for the first few months, mainly due to the likes of xmiles creating fear.

But once people realise they'll still be able to go about their lives exactly as they did before, things will settle down.

The way some people talk, you'd think the moon was about to crash into the Earth.

Care to elaborate on how it will be my fault when there are shortages of food, fuel and medicine, prices go up and the pound crashes. Or is this just another example of brexiteers blaming everyone but themselves for causing this mess?

Yes it is, and you all know it so why you want to stay on board a sinking ship baffles me.

Most of that is just myth as well you know, Project Fear.

And if they’re a sinking ship what are we? Our most valuable companies are being bought out by foreign conglomerates because our currency is through the floor. The little manufacturing we did is going (car industry), and the financial services industry is in danger of doing the same.
