Indeed.
A bit random but for my Christmas present my daughter decide to pay for us a city break holiday this summer and has chosen Krakow in Poland.
Krakow is very close to the death camp at Auschwitz and no doubt we along with many others who visit Krakow will pay it a visit out of respect to those who died there.
Man's inhumanity to man unfortunately.
Will we never learn?

Just watched the BBC 2 commemoration of Holocaust Memorial Day. Beautifully done and incredibly moving.
The main concerns that arose in my mind were the much more recent examples of ethnic cleansing (Rwanda, Cambodia, Bosnia, Myanmar etc) and the rise of far-right sentiments and persecution of minority groups here in the UK NOW!
God forbid that we stand aside and do nothing

I've visited Belsen, and the original camp, Sachsenhausen near Berlin. Absolutely chills the blood.
Didn't find out until a few years before his death, but my dad was amongst the soldiers that liberated Belsen. He never ever talked about it, even when asked.
