Action against sales calls

We're averaging at the moment at four nuisance phone calls a day.

Is it time action was taken to prohibit what can be a hugely disruptive part of someone's daily life?

I am plagued with the buggers. I no longer answer the land line. I just let it go straight to answer machine. If it's something important the caller will speak.

Someone told me one time you can register with BT to get these sales calls stopped. Don't waste your time, I tried it and it's bollocks.

Something i get 4 or 5 times a week is "PPI texts" alerting me that i could claim back PPI.

The TPS is of some help but we still get some nuisance calls and the TPS do bugger all about it.

Call screening by using an answering machine is the most effective method. They always ring off as they are on commission.

Hmmm I work in the Direct Marketing industry, TPS registering will greatly reduce the number of sales calls, MPS registering will reduce the Junk Mail.
