Bolton 2-1 Harrogate

Put huge pressure on ourselves after a poor Easter weekend yet somehow we are still level on points with 3rd. (Hopefully Southend do us a favour tonight)

Still plenty of points to play for but I feel that this is a must win game, we need to get back on track.

I agree it's a must win and Harrogate are on a bad run so we really should be winning this.

I would bring Dapo back into the team and drop Delfouneso, he doesn't contribute enough for me. Push Lee back to play with Williams as playing him as the no10  didn't work either. If Sarcevic is back training then he needs to play as we have missed him massively.

Agree with Pig. If Sarc isn’t fit I wouldn’t be surprised to Maddison start at number 10, thought he looked better against Newport.

Agreed, Lee wasn't the right fit on Monday. I'd certainly throw madman in against Harrogate, as, let's face it, he's running out of time to make the difference we need.
And he needs to be the difference, for our sake and his own, because, fail again with us and he might as well spend the rest of his football career sat on a farm gate chewing a straw.

Can anyone remind me of the details of a game at Burnden Park several years ago when our goalkeeper put the ball down on the edge of the six-yard box to take a goal-kick because he had shepherded an opposition shot out of play behind our goal.
However, having retreated a few yards to take his run-up, he turned back round only to find that the ref had waved play-on and an opponent had run up and tapped the ball home.

I can't remember who was in goal, who the ref was or who the "scorer" was. I seem to remember it was an evening game.....but might be wrong....
Any help with the details would be much appreciated....

Harrogate will probably take a lesson out of Colchester's book and allow us possession in the knowledge that we're unlikely to score if they keep their shape. It all depends on whether or not we can get to the next level because at the moment we're fairly solid but impotent up front. Sarcevic is creative enough to change that if he's back - we've certainly missed him.

I just don't see where the goals are coming from.

I would definitely change the system and play Miller & Doyle up top together.

Evans stuck with a system that wasn't working for us for too long at the start of the season, I hope he doesn't repeat his mistake.

I agree with all the positive comments about Sarcevic. He could well be the difference between us being promoted or not.

Gilks, Santos and Baptiste have been great, but too many of our squad have been very inconsistent.  They have a good spell then go missing for the rest of the game and the endless back and sideways passing does my head in.

Sarcevic consistently looks to creating a goal opportunity for himself or another player.  He also has a real strength and mental determination  that many of the others don't possess.

One point from two games.

Three points needed if we are going to stand a chance of getting that third place back.

Had a dream (rare for me) last night that we win 3-0 today. The Cult were also playing live on the pitch to an empty stadium so don’t be changing your predictions.

I think we'll bag 3 points today. a 1-0 win with Doyle scoring the goal

Another hard watch but turned out to be a very good day.

Good result after going behind.  Other teams doing us favours too.  Tranmere lost, Cambridge Lost, Forest Green lost, Morecambe Lost, but Cheltenham won.

Another uninspiring performance. Absolutely awful first half, I can't understand why Evans keeps giving Maddison game time, he has done absolutely nothing to justify it. We were MUCH better when Thomason replaced him after half-time and filled in the massive midfield hole.

Even so, too many of this team are out of form and not producing.

I still think play-offs is more likely than automatic promotion, even with most of the other teams doing their best to keep us in the top 3.

Fooking Lucky to get three point IMO

I'll take it because we deserve some luck but we can't continue to play this poorly going forward.

Lee had a poor game and Maddison doesn't seem to be working out or so it seems.

There is something still too slow in midfield for my liking.

I'd probably play Thomason instead of lee and one of the other attackers instead of Maddison for the next game.
