WANDERERS (3-4-1-2)

BILLY CRELLIN…6

Was never going to be a comfortable day for a goalkeeper, given Harrogate’s non-stop barrage of crosses but he dealt with things well enough and his communication was good.

HARRY BROCKBANK…7.5

Incredibly, his first win as a Bolton Wanderers player. And wouldn’t it be something to see him push on now and become a regular part of Evatt’s back four?

RICARDO SANTOS…8

Backed by the manager and produced big time. Looks much more comfortable in the middle of a three and the pick of an impressive defensive bunch.

RYAN DELANEY…7.5

His type of game. Dug in, protected his penalty area, looked fearless. Waited patiently for a chance and grabbed it with both hands.

GETHIN JONES…6

Injured just before half time after man-mountain Mark Beck landed on him. You could see the frustration as he realised damage had been done.

ANDREW TUTTE…7

Influenced slowed in the second half but he helped knit things together nicely early on in what was his first start for the club.

ANTHONY SARCEVIC…7

The captain set a positive tone with the ball and encouraged Wanderers to push forward even after the goal. Didn’t have the same impact second half – but dug in with the rest.

JAMIE MASCOLL…6.5

Encouraging first start for the former Wycombe man in what was the busiest wing in Harrogate’s never-ending quest to pile the ball into the box.

ALI CRAWFORD…6.5

Looked slick for the first hour and well capable of unpicking the Harrogate locks, having a hand in the build-up to both goals.

EOIN DOYLE…7

Fine finish for the opener and nearly created himself a second – the Irish striker looked hungry from the off. The first of many, you suspect.

NATHAN DELFOUNESO…7

Deserved his goal after a few very decent performances this season. Faded a bit towards the end but, like Doyle, shows that touch of class that promises this won’t be the last.

Subs: Hickman 43 (for Jones) – Youngster was unlucky not to start but chipped in admirably – 6.

Gordon 71 (for Mascoll) – Reacted well to being dropped to the bench and helped the rear-guard action late on - 6

Comley 76 (for Tutte) – Added a nice steadying influence. Great response. 6

Not used: Taft, White, Darcy, Gnahoua.
