At Spurs, Kane has the brilliant Son to play off. Kane is good at pens and shooting, but he has stopped running....simply plodding instead, not closing down or making himself available for passes. Last night, Grealish crossed from the left and Saka was in the danger zone with Sterling who headed in from where any good goalscoring centre forward needs to be.So where was Kane? In the first 2 games he was totally anonymous. Slightly better yesterday but his one shot was easily saved. His link-up play was non-existent. He is not a good header of the ball. In the last world cup he only scored from pens, free kicks and tap-ins if I remember rightly. Past his sell-by date. His performances so far have knocked thousands off what some club will pay Spurs for him.

You're right, 3 poor games just weeks after a season of goals and assists at the top level means he's definitely past it. He will no doubt have to sign for Rotherham this Summer.

No. Although I've got the legs for it. You haven't lived unless you've seen me in a split to the thigh cocktail dress.Cajunboy wrote:Please don't tell me Boncey is going transgender.

Wish someone had told me the split wasn't supposed to be up the middle.

I have no faith in Southgate - another of a long line of England managers who can't use the talent they have available.
Picking players on reputation not form etc etc ....
Can somebody tell me what Rice is doing in my team for example ---- of course hoping we go ahead a win it all but not betting my mortgage on it.

We’re short of a top quality defensive midfielder, Rice is probably the best we have. So I suppose the question is who would you play there instead?

I'd play Henderson every time. He's an "attacking" defensive midfielder who can pick out the long passes.
We're not winning anything with a Rice/Phillips central midfield. But I have no doubt that's what Gareth will go with.

I’d play Henderson too but don’t think he is good enough defensively to cover Stones/Maguire. If it was me in charge (it should be) I’d play Rice and Henderson or Mount in midfield depending on how strong the opposition are.
Against Germany my main concern is getting outnumbered by them in midfield so I’d be tempted to go 433 or 352.
