Wanderers remain among the favourites for promotion from League One in 2021/22.

Odds have drifted on the Whites lifting the title, with bookmakers SkyBet now offering 14/1 but Ian Evatt’s side remain on 9/2 to achieve automatic promotion and 9/4 for a top six spot.

Sunderland are outright favourites, although their summer transfer business has yet to catch fire, with relegated Sheffield Wednesday ranked as second favourites to win the division outright.

Charlton, who last season finished just outside the play-offs, and Ipswich Town – who this week splashed out £500,000 to land West Brom’s Rekeem Harper – share the third-favourite mantle at present, followed by joint fourth favourites Portmsouth and Rotherham United.

You can get odds of 100/1 on Morecambe winning League One next season, with Stephen Robinson’s side tipped by many for an immediate return to the bottom tier.

Cheltenham and AFC Wimbledon are priced at 66/1 and Cambridge United and Accrington Stanley 50/1.

More chance of us being in a relegation fight with our mainly League 2 squad. And still no proven striker.

I never put money down on us. It's fatal.

No chance of our being anywhere near the relegation places Nat and this “mainly L2 squad” actually consists of a majority of first teamers from above even the level we will be at this season. I do though agree on the striker bit, we do need some quality there and I’m confident that IE will deliver on it before the season starts.
