Wanderers rank highly in the bookies’ early odds to win promotion from League One next season.

The Whites were one of the form teams in the division during the second half of the campaign, losing just five league matches since the turn of the year.

Ian Evatt’s men finished the season in ninth place after racking up wins against Doncaster, Accrington, Cheltenham and Fleetwood in the final stages.

Wanderers are currently priced at 4/1 to win promotion back to the Championship, according to SkyBet’s latest odds.

Only Ipswich (7/4), Derby (11/4) and Barnsley (7/2) have shorter odds, while Portsmouth are also priced at 4/1.

Oxford and Peterborough are both priced at 5/1, while Plymouth (6/1) and Shrewsbury (9/1) also make the top 10.

Meanwhile, the Whites are priced at 14/1 to clinch the League One title as they bid to continue their climb up the divisions.

It is worth noting that some teams have been left out of the initial odds while the play-offs are concluded.

Wycombe host MK Dons in the first leg tonight, while Sheffield Wednesday head to Sunderland tomorrow.
