I should have looked at the pictures first - I would have voted for Victoria Pendleton.

You have three votes if you want them remember.

I've not gone for Jess or Mo at all - they've done well obviously but at the end of the day I don't think they've done anything 'special' like the following -

Wiggins is my top choice - he made history by winning the Tour de France (ok the course suited him and his biggest rivals were all, shall we say under drug clouds and indisposed at the time but never the less he won, and won well).

He also picked up another Olympic gold medal and along with Chris Hoy as the most Olympic medals in the whole history of British sport.

Number two is Murray - I'm not a big tennis fan but even I know their are four truly great tennis players about in the last few years and for Murray not only to constantly get in to semi's and finals but to actually win one of the grand slams for the first time since before computers were invented is something really special. Add in his Olympic gold and what a year he as enjoyed.

Number three is Sir Chris Hoy. I thought he had no chance for a gold this year - he wasn't even picked for his best event - Bolton's Jason Kenny went in that - and won gold - so to win two more goals at this Olympics - to make him the most successful British Olympian ever, was a truly outstanding achievement.

Great sportsmen, great year for sports, wonderful achievements.

It really has been a great year for the Brits and I wouldn't like to bet on who will finally get the nod.

I reckon Usain Bolt is a shoe in for the International Sports Personality of the year.

If she dresses like that, I might not get to the Dancing bit.

I'll get my coat.
