It has been announced that EFL clubs can use up to 5 subs next season.

Wanderers and all EFL clubs will be allowed to use five substitutes in league games next season.
Clubs will again be permitted to name seven players on the bench with the number of substitutes allowed to be used increasing from three to five.
The move – which has also been approved at Premier League level – mirrors the measures in place following football’s return to action behind closed doors in 2020/21 during the Covid pandemic.
Clubs will only be allowed three opportunities during a game to make their substitutions, in addition to any changes made at half-time.
Wanderers certainly used their substitutes to great effect last season, when late goals were a feature of the Whites' impressive top-10 finish.
Strikers Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Amadou Bakayoko both scored five times after coming off the bench - the highest figure in league one.
The new ruling on substitutions was confirmed at the EFL’s summer conference, when it was also agreed that a home club will now be able to wear its away or third kit where a clash may occur that would make it difficult for people who are colour blind to differentiate between the teams.
The amendment also allows clubs to further ‘mix and match’ elements of their registered kits in order to avoid kit clashes.

Definitely favours the bigger clubs this as many of the smaller ones won’t have as big a squad to choose from but at least it means more choice on the bench for us and more match day inclusion for fringe players.
