Another good thing to do for a bonfire party (ive done this every year and they always get polished off pretty quick) is get a big pan, few tins of beans, add a good glug of Bourbon (Jim beam, Jack Daniels etc) plenty of crushed dried chillies, some chopped spring onions and boil till the beans go really thick. then, add some thin slices of crispy (obviously pre-cooked in a separate pan) streaky bacon and stir the lot together - trust me, its amazing, serve next to the fire during fireworks in a cup with a spoon - your guests will love it!
Sounds very good, so good infact i'm trying it next monday!
Did you try it?

Can't beat a good fillet steak cooked medium rare or failing that either sirloin or ribeye. Just before pay day it's normally fish fingers from Iceland.
