Wanderers could make changes to the side that beat Northampton Town at the weekend – but have no new injuries to shape the line-up at Wycombe.
Carlos Mendes Gomes is unlikely to feature at Adams Park, where Bolton have never before scored or claimed a point.
Kyle Dempsey (back) is also out, while George Johnston (knee) is unlikely to return this season.
The likes of Jack Iredale, Will Forrester and Paris Maghoma are also pushing for a recall in what will be the fourth time the Whites have made this trip.
But Ian Evatt says he feels happier ahead of the first of two away games in four days, having reviewed Saturday’s 2-1 win with fresh eyes.
Wanderers came under fire after racing into a two-goal lead in the first 16 minutes but failing to extend it, then allowing Northampton a glimpse of a point before the end.
“Watching the game felt a lot better than it did on Saturday,” Evatt said. “The first half was very good, no denying that. Probably the critique is that we have that many dangerous attacks, converting them into goal-scoring opportunities and goals needs to improve, but some of the general play was of a breath-taking standard.
“The second half wasn’t how it felt at the time. We had a lot more control than I’d realised and the better chances.
“The goal changed the mood in the stadium but they created very little, we still had more of the ball and of the opportunities, and, yes, it wasn’t as fluid and fantastic as the first half but there were still some good patterns and it was three points we thoroughly deserved.
“We have parked that now, and we are preparing for a very difficult week.”
Wanderers go to Wycombe, then Charlton, hoping to claw back some ground on the automatic promotion spots.
A five-point gap has opened up between themselves and second-placed Oxford United, with unbeaten leaders Portsmouth eight ahead, having played a game more.
“We’re a point behind where we wanted to be, in terms of the two-points-per-game target, but I think it has been a good start,” Evatt maintained.
“Things are going for the top two teams at the moment. You can see with Portsmouth on Saturday, watching that game back Carlisle hit the post, they had one or two critical chances, two penalties that should never have been awarded, a massive deflection.
“These things happen in football and all we can do is concentrate on ourselves, keep going.
“At the moment we are picking up points and winning games. I think we’re in good shape ahead of a difficult week, some good tests, but ones we are looking forward to.”
