Ian Evatt expects to call on the same squad that beat second-placed Cambridge United in midweek for Saturday's trip to Port Vale.
The Bolton Wanderers boss exercised caution with a number of players, including captain Antoni Sarcevic, who he replaced just after the hour in Tuesday night's 2-1 win at the University of Bolton Stadium, with the score at 2-0.
But he says those who were carrying niggles have managed to shake them off.
"People don't know at the time who's carrying niggles and who isn't so that always goes into my thinking," explained Evatt, who also took substituted Dapo Afolayan, Nathan Delfouneso and top scorer Eoin Doyle in the final 15 minutes.
"We're always trying to stay ahead of injuries as best we can.
"Obviously when you make so many changes in the second half of a game it can affect the flow and the tempo of the game but we already felt like the game was won.
"It almost wasn't, but we want to keep everyone in one piece as best we can, which is important for the final 12 games."
And Evatt's injury prevention tactic has paid off.
"The ones that did have niggles have settled down really well," he said. "We're really pleased. We need to keep everyone in one piece for the rest of the season."
