It's amazing how many people think they have a right to a postage discount if they're buying multiple items from you.

You've reminded me of my ebay hate...sellers who don't give postage discounts for buying multiple items.

What possible reason could you have for not offering postage discounts? I sold some records last year and it was the same price to send two LPs as it was one LP. I doubt it's much different now.

I always leave negative feedback for sellers who don't offer postage discounts. I'm interested why you don't do it, especially as research shows the mjority of buyers lower their bids when faced with high postage costs.

Doffcocker out.

that is generally the done thing.

If you're charging £4.00 a vinyl and someone buys two will it cost you 8 quid to post it?

Probably not.

The Post Office rates increase, to an extent, disproportionately to weight.

To send a package 2nd class, below 750g costs £2.20. Between 750g and 999g is £3.50. A kg or over is £5.40.

If you sent two 700g items as one package, it would cost £5.40, £1 dearer than it would cost to send them individually. I've fallen victim to this before after generously offering a discounting for combined postage. Not again!

Never really been into Ebay to be fair. I'm more of a amazon lover. I must admit sometimes I have said certain xbox games haven't come, and got them to send me another one out so me and a friend can get 2 games for the price of one and go halves. Turns out amazon aren't so honest themselves, therefore I don't feel like I have done anything wrong. Smile

Amazon and Ebay are hardly comparable are they.

and it isn't full of scammers and chavs.

the vast vast majority (99%) of people on there are legitimate sellers.

Amazon is fine for new stuff, but if you want rare used stuff (like CDs or vinyl) ebay is the place to find them.
