What's good about this site (for now) is that the level of intelligence of the average poster means that WUMs aren't able to be a problem.
Without wanting to give him ideas, had Bolton Hater done his business on Wanderers Mad instead, he'd have succeeded in making a mockery of a Bolton Wanderers forum, as there's several people on there that get riled over nothing and make a monumental drama out of it. What he's had to say for himself on here has been treated with virtual disregard and he consequently hasn't been a problem for the mods.

Having recently started to use ths forum, I have to say, that I think its excellent. The topics, openness, and in particular the humour, I have found refreshing in comparison to the last site I was on. There, some people were getting upset with just about everything, but in particular the loudest and , to be honest, the mouthiest, were shouting down anyone who criticicsed OC in any way. I checked it yesterday, and they were still bickering amongst themselves, which meant all the serious posters were sitting back, keeping out of the line of fire.
As an aside, I also wondered where Natasha was, as I was missing her posts. I'd assumed that she was upset because I went to Germany without her. Natasha, I'm back ! If you want to go to Germany, let me know and we can run away together. (Maybe we can borrow Sir Nuts Dad's bike, and I can give you a 'crossie' down to the station).

I've spent the last 5 years posting on Wanderers Ways, and while it's been a great site in the past it really has become a site where the clique rule and can basically say what they want. Everyone else is abused and threatened with being banned. I'm always amazed anyone would want their business to appear on a site like that.
I've been reading this site over the past couple of weeks and it strikes me that the majority of posters are that bit older and, therefore, that bit more mature.
I hope to stick around.
On the matter of the Norwich game, we were very poor. It seems we can compete with Liverpool and Arsenal but put us in front of Norwich, Swansea, Wolves, WBA, Fulham etc and we go to pieces.

Exactly. Which doesn't bode well for the Wigan game! The team really need to up their game on Saturday. Cheap tickets should mean a decent crowd.
We desperately need a performance like we produced against Stoke and Liverpool. I'm normally a pessimist by nature but I am confident we will beat Wigan.

They're a horrible bunch on Wanderers Ways! I thought there were some angry souls on Burnden Aces until I signed up for Wanderers Ways, whose average poster makes that of BA seem like a barrel of laughs.

Their leader, Happy Wanderer has a cheerful sounding name.

Very true! I remember a few months back I suggested it was time to drop Kevin Davies - from the reaction you'd have thought I'd murdered someone.

Wouldn't have liked to see the reaction when they saw we may hav sold him in January to Sunderland.

There are posters that can't accept differing opinions to their own on every forum but they're one thing. Posters that are basically cyber bullies are another. Wanderers Ways is full of the latter. Interestingly, some of the biggest culprits seem to be men in their 50s.

I love a good argument or heated debate, but forums seem to bring out the worst in some people. I guess they feel safe behind their keyboard saying things they'd never dream of saying to someones face.

Wanderers Way's is a good site, so is Burnden Aces, so to The Wanderer - non of them have chosen to give us a plug on their site - indeed some have gone a great distance out of their way to make sure we aren't mentioned at all - and indeed bad mouth us - but it still doesn't stop them being decent BWFC sites to read and post on if you want to.
Bolton Mad, JA606 and the Bolton News have all supported us by giving us threads to tell their members about us and even allowed links to our forum - all smaller BWFC forums than the three above (well JA606 is structured differently so its not fair to compare it against the others really) - and all of them are excellent BWFC sites too - with obviously no hidden agendas.
People find a forum that they like and stick with it until a time comes when they may decide to move on to another forum for whatever reason they choose it’s as simple as that really.
If people like it here then great, please feel free to enjoy the laughs with us, if people don't like us, then fine go and enjoy another forum you like better.
We aren't after peoples money like some, we aren't trying to attract and retain advertisers and sponsors like others - we just post on here for fun - that's all!
Everyone is invited to enjoy the craic on here with us – up to you if you want to or not.

Doffer, you cheeky young whipper-snapper ! Fortunately, I no longer fall into the 50's bracket so I don't have to be 'Mr Angry' on the forums. I do get p'eed off with things, but see no point in haranguing people just because they are wrong. (When you get to the magic 60, you are ALWAYS right !)
Apart from the easy to read format, etc, on here, I think the overall humour is good, and, we have female fans that post on here. Didn't have that on the Teamtalk one, and its good to hear different views, especially from such a broad age range A lot more characters on here, which can't be a bad thing.
Haven't heard from The Miserable One for a while, and am concerned that he's run away with Natasha
