DOUGIE Freedman says he is in no rush to throw Medo into the mix.
The new signing is unlikely to make this afternoon’s squad against Hull City with his manager hoping to secure him another 90-minute runout for the development squad before unleashing him on the Championship.
The continued good form of Jay Spearing and Darren Pratley have made Sierra Leone international Medo’s more gradual introduction to English football easier for Freedman.
But the Scot admits his midfielder, recruited from FK Partizan in the January window, is starting to look the part.
"It’s a difficult one because he’s there or thereabouts fitness-wise but he hasn’t played since November so to throw him straight into a game would be unfair on the lad," he said.
"It’s a good option for us to have there and he’s here for the long term, so there’s no rush.
"He does want to impress and has done really well in training. The only thing that is missing for him is 90-minute matches – it’s up to me now when I give him that."

It's a bit of a joke how our new signings are never ready to play.
Maybe this time next year he'll have progressed to the Sordell stage.

Debut in a thrashing of high-flying Hull City... not too shabby!

He got a warning from the referee and was told no more fouls...
before he'd even had a kick of the ball.
Quite funny.
