Just because other fans make themselves and their club look stupid doesn't justify our fans doing it. If they want to whinge all the time they should all f*** off and support PNE, Bury or Oldham - then they'd have something to really whinge about.

Or Blackburn.

I didn't say it justified it. I was simply explaining that it isn't just our supporters who do it. I hate it and wish they would fuck off tbh.

Im a bit of a whinger I admit.
However, I love my club and the passion sometimes over-spills.
im of the ilk that if you pay your money, your entitled to your say, football is a passionate game and does make me angry at times, equally it makes me almost as happy as the day my little boy was born... swings and roundabouts.
What i Dont like are fans who venomously support the club and never get annoyed with anything, we could get relegated to the conference and they would still turn up smiling. Im actually a little envious of these people because they can go home and have their tea and get on with the rest of the weekend, the same people who left wembely after THAT semi-final not really looking arsed because they feel the club 'tried their best'
Im not saying Leeds is wrong, hes right in a way, I just Dont agree with his 'Never moan' stance...
The wanderers mean to much to me for me not to get angry when we lose, or jealous of other clubs successes.

People like me who try to keep the moaning to a minimum don't feel the disappointment any less. If people have to moan, then I suppose a forum like this is the place to do it, even if it brings everyone down and serves as a constant reminder of of our troubles.Reebok_Rebel wrote:Im a bit of a whinger I admit.

But under no circumstances should people have a go at the players or manager at a game IMO. It just makes the situation worse, undermines confidence and generally does the club harm. We're supporters win or lose and the last thing we should do is make it even harder for our team. Never been one for self-harming.

Yeah, I've never understood booing during the game. If you want to vent your anger at full time, then by all means.

Il agree, even by my standards to booing is getting tiresome.
some of the lads where I sit, and i mean a LOT of them during the first half where singing Freedmans name...
During the 2nd half the same people were calling him a 'useless cunt' and telling him to 'sort it out'
The 2nd half was dire, but whoever mentioned our fans are fickle is correct, at least Im a consistent moaning git...

Stoke fans have a reputation for getting behind their team, and being the "12th man". They drew 2-2 at home to Wigan a few weeks ago and booed their team off like hell. I went on a forum of theirs that night where there was a "Pulis in or out" thread, and 80% had voted "Out", this despite them sitting 10th in the league. It's easy to think one set of supporters are just a bunch of moaning bastards where others are generally easy to please and a pleasure to play for, and the media love to play on it, but it's bollocks.
The club has been a tedious one to follow since BSA walked out - several relegation battles...the only silver lining about relegation was supposed to be that we'd see some winning football but has until a month ago been more of another relegation battle than a promotion push, and morale throughout the club is consequently very low.
The extremes some fans go to are embarrassing, but it's not just a Bolton thing. You'll find regular "why are our fans such moaners?" thread on every underachieving club's forums in the country.

And we have been relegated, with the worst Bolton manager in our history.
So if you want to moan just moan.
If you want to boo then booo.
You have earned the right to say or do what the fuck you want.
Remember when they " the players" weren't trying and we were getting hammered?
They have got away with murder this lot.
