Ed went to Oxford.

The Lib Dems aren't going to get in are they.

so thats your choice David Cameron (Oxford) or Ed (Oxford)

One important piece you're missing out.
Cameron. Osborne, Boris Johnson. Eton.

My point is, people always bang on about Cameron and his cabinet being out of touch, maybe so, but who are the "in touch" people they're voting for instead?

If there was an election today I would vote UKIP, and I suspect many feel the same.

Mighty Oak trees start off as little acorns. The more people become disillusioned with the ways things are going, the more they will turn to UKIP.

As a protest sure, not sure why personally. The ills of the country aren't all as a result of the EU membership.

Even though the Daily Mail might have you believe they are.

UKIP would definitely be able to make the UK about as prosperous as Somalia.

That may be so but at least any money generated in the UK would stay in the UK. The days of handing out millions of pounds in ' economic ' aide to so called third world countries would cease.

Drop in the ocean.

Taken as a whole we don't give that much aid away, It is something that needs to change but if thats their plan to sort out the economy I'd be worried.

Anybody interested in voting UKIP should take a look at their policies and not just focus on all the EU and immigration stuff. But then again most folk don't do that and just vote for what the Sun or Mirror ses.
Some like Boris the Spider but choose not to listen to his halfwitted but action intentioned comments.

40% of the money generated in the UK is via exports of finished goods to Europe so I won't be voting for UKIP as they are too stupid to understand that you don't piss off your customers. Our manufacturing base was dismantled by Thatcher who also sold off our offshore resources to pay for her populist attacks on the unions and industry so I'd be interested to find out where the money that UKIP is going to keep in the UK will come from.
We are truly a nation of shopkeepers now and the big employers (public sector, NHS, military etc) no longer make money - they spend it. Once upon a time the big employers (mining, ship-building, steel and textile industries etc) actually made something to sell. We haven't got that to fall back on.

I concur. Thatcher did more harm than good to the country, I'm surprised she didn't provide blinkers free on the NHS, but most of her working class followers couldn't wait to be in the queue to buy them!

Nat I don't really know, I tend to look at people with integrity and interested in their community but most of them lose sight of that once they get the nod. From what I can see Bolton has one mp with a sense of community.

When did you last answer a question? I could ask you who you'd vote for tomorrow and know you wouldn't answer.

The irony is that Mining for example was an inefficient industry that led to fuel prices rising, but instead of her Government working with the British miners to address the inefficiencies she put all our eggs into the import basket and now we pay through the nose for Polish coal. She made Britain more dependent than ever on foreign economies by destroying or selling off heavy industry in Britain. Ironic inasmuch that Thatcher is an icon of the largest nationalist political party - the party which has done more than any other to destroy Britain's future.

When the election comes around I'll read all the promises, listen to all the rhetoric, watch all the interviews and try to work out what is both desirable and deliverable - usually about 10% of what is promised. Then I'll decide if it's worth voting for.
