Clarke Carlisle: Knob?

I really dislike Clarke Carlisle. Not just because he played for Burnley, but because he is one of those people who could sniff out racism at a chimps tea party.

He booked Reginald D Hunter for the PFA Awards who proceeded to do what he's been doing for years now - being very funny while offending every minority in the whole world.

Of course Clarke Carlisle is now accusing Reginald D Hunter of being racist (even though he's black himself) and claiming he'd been duped into thinking Hunter would deliver a clean act.

Does anyone dislike Carlisle as much as me?

I read that article in the mail saying Reggie said the "n" word about 10 times.

so what? It's lucky they didn't book Chris Rock.

I like Hunter he's good on HIGNFY, he actually dropped the N bomb on it the other night, no doubt some granny called into complain.

Ive no issue with Carlisle.

But im a fan of Reginald D Hunterand they must have known what his act involved, he pushes boundaries but I don't think he oversteps them.

Within the context of a comedy show I see no issue with using the word he did, this is an example of PC going too far.

He sounds a bit bored without football, how can someone be racist to their own race, dickhead.

I was brought up on Public Enemy using the 'n' word. If black people want to adopt that word who am I to complain?

I've only ever seen R.D.Hunter on comedy shows and only seen clips of him live and I found him very funny. Carlisle must have known what his act was all about so if he didn't want humour close to the knuckle he should have just booked a bloody children's entertainer.

I've no real issue with Clarke Carlisle myself but did anyone catch the racism in football thing he did for bbc3 last year?

Was Clarke Carlisle in it? Then no.

He was the presenter, he went to a league for the asian community and they were going on at him saying no club has ever give them a chance and claimed that most agents would not hire them due to their ethnicity.

I read the story on BBC. Sounds like Carlisle wanted somebody with a more self-pitying tone.

Clarke Carlisle is a total dick.

Reginald is a great comedian, but I don't think ive seen him on one panel show or stand up where hes hasn't mentioned race.

Its like hiring Frankie Boyle for the Paralympic opening ceremony.
