Yes, the fact Moyes may be appointed shortly suggests a lot of the ground work was done a while ago.
It is bad news for Everton, I think Moyes is a terrific manager, what he has done at Everton on a very small budget is unreal. It will be interesting to see what he can do at a club who do have financial clout. But Everton are a certainty IMO will really struggle from now on. It's like us when we lost big Sam, no manager could do what he did and we were never the same. With Everton's small budget I think the old days like when they stayed up at our expense on the last day of the season will return.
