Left back has been a problem for ages and Alonso isn't a great full back either, so this guy if he can actually defend, is a step in right direction.

Might be terrible, but funny that 98% of the stuff I've read from norwich fans has been glowing.
If he was really that bad surely they'd be going off on him.

Let's see what he brings to the table before we slate him.

Why wait? Let's slate him now. Get an early start on the next season.
Tierney out!

Watched Norwich a few times this season..... this lad must have played but didn't register in my memory. So let's give him a chance at least. I would have liked Alonso to stay but it was a cock up with him since OC.

All those 'positive comments' from Norwich fans look suspiciously familiar to the 'positive comments' we got from WBA fans when we were signing Robinson.

Paul Robinson was suberb for a couple of seasons and was a fans favourite, didnt he win player of the season? DF will have seen him play and done his home work. We need a right back now to replace Ricketts.waynagain wrote:All those 'positive comments' from Norwich fans look suspiciously familiar to the 'positive comments' we got from WBA fans when we were signing Robinson.

90% of signings from the last 6 years have been a waste of time and money.
I think this is behind the supporter skepticism.

Seems to be a 'steady' signing, doubt he'll set the world alight but if he's an improvement on Alonso (defensively) it should help tighten us up at the back.
He could go either way but I've still not seen a reason to doubt Dougie's judgement and it's a free transfer so I think he'll prove useful for us.

Why are they letting the league dictate to them about rules?
Not happy with this the club are once again proving they are pussies.

Here's the gist of a response I got from the Norwich board:
re: Marc Tierney - is he mental?
He is a good championship player.
He is fast, he likes to go forward. Long nice trhows.
He can realy help you get a top 6 place. But he is not a premieleage player, he have not the consentration that is needed aganinst top players.
But a great championship player !!!
If he is mental? Who knows, there are some rumers but ho knows?

DEAL AGREED: Bolton Wanderers can announce they have agreed a deal in principle with Marc Tierney to join the club.
The 27-year-old left-back will officially be registered as a Bolton player when his current contract at Norwich City expires.

I think he will be OK at Championship level but may need replacing if we get promoted.
