Coffee. As in when you buy a cup from starbucks or one of the other places. I refuse to buy them because its £2-£3 for what is mostly hot water. The profit margins must be ridiculous.

Talking of coffee. Why is it that a large coffee in MacDonalds in the US is only 66p and it's much more in England

Yeah, they have a dollar menu in american fast food joints and pound menus here. You're right they should be 66p menus

The biggest rip off, or one of them anyway, is the cost of Gillete razor blades. Last time I looked they were over £4 each.
Also, for me, its the main dealer garages.(HA Fox) I had an MOT, service, and bush replaced on the rear wheel, and even with 'preferred custome' status (mates rates), I still paid £681. Robbing bastards. (Nice cup of coffee though)

I hate everything Corona lager stands for. One of the poorer beers on the shelf but one of the dearest because of how well it's been marketed to dumbos. I think alcohol companies know the money value sense of their target markets very well, so you find drinks aimed at chavs like WKD and flavoured cider ridiculously overpriced.
Another one nobody's mentioned is fillet steak.

Fillet steak is dear in restaurants but you can buy a decent sized fillet steak from the Butchers for about £9.doffcocker wrote:

I agree. If you want to maintain your warranty, the dealerships rip you off when it comes to annual servicing and MOT's. You can normally get a full service from a reliable back street garage for about £110, whereas the dealerships charge about £65 per hour just for labour.
I found a cracking garage near Bolton where I can get a full service and MOT for £90.

It would be easier to make a list of things that were under priced.

That says it all.
That's correct. John Shite done in the fridge with a widget tastes of nob all, and from the barrel tastes slightly better. However, who needs Champagne when there's Golden Pippin to sup!?!

That's London prices for you. Them that can afford the finer things in life like the Arts and Theatre have to pay top whack for their tipple. You should have nipped into the Gents and helped yourself to some corporation pop.Angry Dad wrote:£6.50 for a 1.75 small glass of merlot and £7 for a pint of old speckled hen at the theatre royal brighton, in a fuckin plastic glass mind, robbing cunts.

True, but overseas visitors also have to pay the Departure Tax, hence the price of holidays, and flights, to the UK have priced too many people out - but it came abouit, only about 5 years ago, flights were intotal £20-£30 return with the likes of Easyjet. Nowadays its about £100, even when you do book in advance!!! But the further you have to fly teh more expenisve the tax becomes.
Those going on long-haul, nowadays, is actually better, and far cheaper, to get a cheap flight to a neighbouring country such as Ireland, France, Germany or Holland and then get a long haul flight - it can save hundreds of pounds for a family!!!

I was working so my employer was paying i'm used to these type of places and charges and i can well afford them myself but still find it an outrageous price for wine in a plastic cup.
