He new the score when he signed, We will beat QPR.scottjames30 wrote:It wouldn't surprise me if Freedman walked away and parted company with us, the board's not backed him with the players we wanted , and if our board have no ambition to get promoted , then he's onto a loser straight away.
This club won't get promoted and get twatted by QPR at the weekend is my prediction .

It's unbelievable that this is being discussed after three games. Two draws, one against a very good team, the other in a local Derby where anything can and often does happen, and a loss away to another very good team. It's not ideal, but it can't be compared to last season. We beat Derby County at home, who are shit and drew with Forest as well as the loss away at Burnley. So last season, one away game and two home games. This season two away games and one home game. It's stupid to compare at this stage. The other thing has already been mentioned. This division is a lot stronger than last season. All three relegated teams are in a better position than previously. QPR are still splashing the cash and it looks like they might even get Scott Parker from Spurs. For any Championship team to be getting players like that is going to make it hard for the likes of us with no money to spend. BTW, I also think we will beat QPR. They have beaten one shit team (Sheff Wednesday) and Ipswich at home with a last minute winner, and a draw at another shit team Huddersfield. They aren't exactly Chelsea for fucks sake !

So you were talking rubbish basically.terenceanne wrote:Tierney is not better than Alonso ....the other three I'll give you. However based on what I saw today Medo might be a bit of a donkey and there seemed to be a lot of open space for their wingers with our fullbacks nowhere to be seen.bwfc1874 wrote:6 Freedman signings played today (7 if you include Spearing).terenceanne wrote:As Natasha says.....here's another bloke who brings in players and sits them on the bench. To boot the ones brought in don't look any better than the ones shipped out.
I can't even hazard a guess at the team for the next game ....no Pratts for starters.
Tierney better than Alonso
Baptiste better than Mears
C Davies better than SKD
Medo better than Andrews
I think what you've said there is a load of bollocks to be honest.
As for the question itself, we've lost one game and had a disastrous day all round. Sack Dougie and we are truly fucked though, whoever comes in will be worse. At the moment he's the best we can hope for unless anybody has any suggestions?
And for those that like stats.... we are 19th in the table with less points than we had under OC at the same time last season. Fancy any points against QPR ???
For all of your moaning Im still yet to hear who you want to replace Dougie?

Why are you commenting on our team you cockney Cnut?Michael Bolton wrote:Last season was the golden chance - it was such a shit league - I mean hull and palace going up says it all. I think it's going to be difficult now for bolton to get back into the big time. This is without doubt the worst bolton team I remember for almost 20 years. Shite defence, shite midfield and strikers who can't score.
I don't blame dougie, it's not like he has had any money to spend.

Obviously a ridiculous discussion.
I will say though my chief concern is the players seeming total lack of technical ability.
Ok moritz might be a player who can put his foot on the ball but from what I saw yesterday at least the team was completely disjointed.
The only link up play that had any forethought was between tierney, hall and cd coming deep. Everything else was just panic or a long "dump" ball.
I thought spearing was anonymous. Chung yong was so poor it was unreal.
We actually "dominated" the first half but our complete lack of creativity meant we were unable to create a single meaningful chance. Notice how Forrest were able to create something every time they came forward in the first half and they had hardly any of the ball.
Second half well if u defend like that and then go down to 10 u won't win games in any leagues.
Something needs to change if we're to compete this season IMO and I mean tactically or personnel wise. Creative void will kill us (ignoring the obvious defensive problems)

It isn't necessarily results that scare me - we clawed back a lot more than 7 points last season.
The problem is we were outplayed for long periods at Burnley, on the back foot the entire second half at home to Reading and then smashed by Forest yesterday.
That should be the biggest worry - the fact we aren't controlling games at all.

I have to disagree to be honest.
"smashed" - we only really were completely dominated once we went down to 10.
the first half, in my opinion, we controlled, but forrest looked dangerous on the break, we just had absolutely no creativity, none.
I agree about Burnley i thought they looked a much better footballing side but again "outplayed" is a bit strong.
didn't see Reading.

I can't remember when we last controlled a game or put in a 90 minutes of decent football. Last one I can remember is that Spurs game about 3 seasons ago.

Even Freedman said the team only started to play in the last 24 minutes, so either you are wrong or Freedman is a liar.Hipster_Nebula wrote:I have to disagree to be honest.

He didn't say that he said they "never gave in" and did the "right things" after the sending off. Well thats how i read it anyway.waynagain wrote:Even Freedman said the team only started to play in the last 24 minutes, so either you are wrong or Freedman is a liar.Hipster_Nebula wrote:I have to disagree to be honest.

And anyway is it really such an incongruous statement to say we had plenty of the ball but could do nothing with it. I don't think so.

I was pissed off on Saturday but on reflection it's just one game, we can't get carried away and start even mentioning sacking Dougie.
