After reminiscing with Xmiles and Hip Priest the last couple of days on music, I decided to do a web search on my all time fave Wanderer and Whites Legend John Byrom. No player, whilst I have been watching Wanderers, had a rapport with the crowd quite like he had. A couple of good articles in the BEN came up and an interesting snippet that he scored a hat trick for Blackburn against West Ham as a 17 year old debutant. Further interest was added in the fact that Bobby Moore, another one of my footballing idols, played for West Ham that day.

Absolute legend ! Saw him score some crackers. Could do with him now to show our present shower how to play with your heart as well as your talent.Soul Kitchen wrote:After reminiscing with Xmiles and Hip Priest the last couple of days on music, I decided to do a web search on my all time fave Wanderer and Whites Legend John Byrom. I can still see him running through the mud at Southampton in the cup. A Bolton legend and a funny guy.

I'll go along with this- an all time great Wanderer.
Those of you too young to have seen him have missed someone quite special

Great player remember the Sunday game against Stoke, a fans favourite, makes you wondeer if you saw a player of his build today what would the fans think. He was running a pub somewhere last i heard my mate had a pint and picture with him.
