Only if we keep Freedman Scott. If Management wakes up to their mistake soon enough we can still survive. Unfortunately they probably won't so you may be right!!

Where do you start on that shite from Dougie today? One striker? Two defensive midfielders? Knight once again? No Medo? No Hall once again? What formation was it this week? I think Nat was being over optimistic when she said it would be a 4-1-2-1-2. I'd say this was a 4-2-1-2-1. Dear me.
There was nothing positive happening whatsoever and it took him over an hour to make a change. The only positive was Hall, who came on for Eagles, which in itself was a questionable decision for me.
How often in the last 12 months has Eagles popped up with some magic just when it was needed?
Lots of times.
Same question but with CYL...?
It's a tricky one isn't it.
But the overriding problem I think is the constant pissing around with the ball where they should be latching onto it and taking it in a useful direction. I think Tierney is arguably the worst offender in that respect.

Where do you start with that pile of shit, I'm hoping Knight has played his last game for bolton, he really looked pissed off when he got taken off.
Everything is just wrong, on and off the field. Something has gone seriously wrong over pre-season IMO for us to become so bad under Freedman, unless it really is just down to the fact Dawson went back to WBA.

They played like total strangers, Chungy had not got a clue where he was playing, Dont blame our strikers because nothing at all was through to them because DF got it totally wrong once again, I never thought there was a more poorer coach than Coyle untill the last few weeks that is. And how the hell did he expect Knight to react after offering him away, the guy has no confidence at all and should have been 'rested' and he was by no means the worst player on the field today. Nothing will change untill we play 2 strikers at home but then again we deperatley need someone in midfield to carry the ball through. Gutted once again.

Fuck me, that was about as shit as it gets.
I don't think Freedman knows what he's trying to do, there didn't seem to be any plan. The tactics were all wrong again, players again being asked to play in alien positions, and again we got nothing.
I'll actually start with a positive - I thought Tim Ream was outstanding in midfield, several times he played superb 30-40 yard passes, one that split the entire Leeds defence open midway through the first half that Tierney wasted.
So what did Freedman do, he put him back in fucking defence. Freedman you are a twat, it's as if you don't want players playing well, so you punish them by switching their position.
But everyone else bar Bogdan was utter shite.
Baptiste - it's confirmed, he is shit. He hardly wins any headers, is slow as fuck, and is always out of position.
Tierney - it's confirmed, he's a stump. Not too bad going forward but he is too easily beaten when defending.
Knight - shit as ever
Mills - started well and isn't too bad in the air - but ask him to defend against a bit of pace and he's shit. And don't get me started on how many times he humped the ball forward to the Leeds defence.
Eagles - poor game, but should never have been taken off.
Lee - another anonymous game. To be fair he's being asked to play in a fucking stupid position, but he still gives the ball away too often and is scared to beat a man.
Pratley - lots of effort to be fair, no skills or end product being even fairer.
Spearing - plenty of effort, but another highly paid footballer who cannot control or pass a football.
Ngog - utter, utter shit. This player can hold the ball up? Can he fuck. I reckon he created a record for the number of times a striker failed to control the ball.
Beckford - you lazy shit bastard, couldn't score in a brothel if he had a dick made of gold.
Hall - Fuck me is he shit. 30 minute appearance, touched the ball twice. Shit.
Medo - Fuck off, you have been found out.
I remember several shit shots flying wide (it's a lot to expect a pro footballer to be able to shoot straight) but none testing their keeper. This was dire. This was shit. There is no hope under Dougie Freedman.
He should go.

Sounds a fair assessment. How did it get to this? Things certainly are a mess, Freedman seems to be clueless with his formation and tactics, but probably even worse is the fact that the players are complete and utter shit.Natasha Whittam wrote:Fuck me, that was about as shit as it gets.

Can't argue with any of that Nat, especially Ream who was a breath of fucking fresh air.
Was dougie just trying to make a point by bringing Knight off by the way? I understand why he did but i'm pretty sure 9 times out of 10 if we were winning games he wouldn't have done that.

If there's anything Tierney is useful at, it's not going forward. He gets forward, but that doesn't imply that he's any good once he's in those positions. I'd go as far as to say he epitomises what's shit about us.
He keeps hold of the ball for long periods of time before picking out a short, backwards or sidewards pass. He often wants to take the ball past full backs before crossing it when there's really no need. To top it off, his crossing is poor.

Tierney did look shit in the two games I saw on the telly. I think losing Alonso and Ricketts in the summer was quite a blow personally.doffcocker wrote:If there's anything Tierney is useful at, it's not going forward. I think Alonso was key from an attacking point of view. He could beat a man and hit really dangerous crosses. He caused problems every time he had the ball in the opposition's half. Tierney's attacking moves rarely amount to anything.Michael Bolton wrote:Tierney did look shit in the two games I saw on the telly. Freedman out ! I wanted to give him more of a chance but today was the final straw. One up front at home against one of the leagues mediocre teams is frankly unforgiveable but the effing most bizarre decisions of all time,Coyle or Megson eat your hearts out was to take his newly appointed Captain Knightmare off and then make El Prat the Captain for the remainder of the game !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! un effing believable, the guy shouldnt even be on the pitch for fucks sake !!!! How I didnt walk off and give Fartside and his effing Board my season ticket who knows,I am both ashamed and disappointed in myself for remaining to watch that utter shite. Pratley is the biggest, largest piece of useless shite ever to put on a Bolton shirt and to hand someone like him the Captaincy of our club is an utter abomination and Freedman will never ever recover in my eyes. Fuck off back to Scotland you twat

I think the way the language is going on here tonight shows the strength of feeling building amongst supporters. Isn't it a shame the players can't get that attitude during games? Mind you they are probably as pissed of with Dougie as the rest of us. Not a happy camp at the moment is it? Going to get worse though.

Yeah- he did. And said the same stuff that he said in the last five that he's done. Claimed that we were good in patches(?) that we concede too early(?) and that we're not far away from turning the corner(?)scottjames30 wrote:Did Freedman do an interview ?

I really don't understand why managers do this, it really does them no favours. Everyone can see we're shite, Dougie will know it as much as anyone, but by denying it in public he's just frustrating the fans even more.rammywhite wrote:

If he'd come out and said the last two performances have been unacceptable and I won't stand for it again it would show he feels our pain and fans would be less critical.
Fans want to see managers bleed BWFC like we do, not bullshit positives from a pitiful performance.

You should know that such an approach is not taught in PR school. Di Canio got in trouble for slagging off his players, but importantly they didn't perform any better after he did it.
I think Dougie has reached the end of his tether now, so it's going to be a critical few weeks ahead.
It looked like desperation when he took off Knight and changed the system yesterday - and that could turn out to be a massive benefit for the club, if only because we now know that he is at least aware of the strategic options and for once (perhaps the first time?) was prepared to do something about it.
My message to Dougie would be "Don't stop there! What have we got to lose by experimenting with players and systems?"
We're stuck with this squad, so maybe now Dougie will start to fully explore what can be done with it and take a chance on youth, pace and more creative strategies....at least I bleeding well hope he does because if you do what you always do, you get what you always get - and that ain't good enough at the moment.
Maybe now is the time to create some real competition for places.
