That's why Knightmere got the armband, only because he's the longest serving team employee .
We have no leader.

Zat Knight could have impeccable leadership skills and we'd still be dire.

If zat knight was any kind of captain he'd realise he's dogshit and quit the bastard game.

If Pratley is Captain tomorrow then Freedman has to go, end of. When he made that useless piece of shite Captain for the remainder of the match on saturday I could have cried.

I know you have it in for Dazza but to be fair to him he has put himself about a lot more since Dougie took charge. I actually don't think he is as bad as you think he is. Andrews was far worse.Tigermin wrote:If Pratley is Captain tomorrow then Freedman has to go, end of. Pratley is a lot better than Tigermin makes him out to be. I'd bet Tigermin was unhappy when Pratley scored his goals earlier in the season!

I have said it more than once, anybody that actually goes to a game watch him and him alone for 5-10mins and that means any 5-10 mins out of the 90 and you will see what I mean. Running around waving your arms around does not constitute a good player. His positional sense is atrocious,he never closes a player down and when he does attempt a tackle he gives a foul away,he truly is shocking.

I agree with Tigermin, while I don't doubt Pratley's effort compared with the other ponces, he actually does very little. One of the reasons for this pisspoor start is Freedman's determination to find a spot for Pratley.
I would love to see a midfield 4 of Hall - Spearing - Ream - Eagles with two upfront.
Old fashioned it may be, but I bet you we'd actually score a goal or two.

Goes without saying. But at least the game would be entertaining. I'd rather lose 4-2 than 1-0.Hipster_Nebula wrote:... and concede 4 or 5.

Spearing would be a good candidate, very vocal.
I'd be happy with Spearing as Captain.

Lets make some footbal history and make one of the bench players Captain. Let's say Lonnie for example. That way he can sit next to Doogie and learn from the master....relaying orders to the players on the pitch. Then be responsible for ordering the pies n chips after the match for the lads...
a plate of Haggis for Doog and a salad for Phil.
Just to shake things up a little ...

How about giving Tim Ream the Captains armband? We could do a lot worse.

Thought he had a good game tonight RT, sat in front of the back four suits him, less pressure on him than being part of the back four but Captain would put the pressure back on,leave it with Spearing for me,the man is a leader and we havnt had one of those for a long time !Reebok Trotter wrote:How about giving Tim Ream the Captains armband? Spearing should definitely remain Captain,he was solid tonight and I think he shows great leadership qualities. I would probably make Tierney or Baptiste as vice Captain.

Spearing is a much better captain, vocal and dictates the play...plus he was always asking for the ball tonight.
