Bolton have agreed a loan deal with Southampton for Scotland international Danny Fox, Sky Sports understands.

Fox has sunk down the pecking order at St Mary's following the emergence of England Under-21 left-back Luke Shaw.

Now Bolton have made a move to land Fox, who has featured just once for the Saints this term.

Fox will join Bolton until January, when they could opt to make the move permanent.
Fox is set to be the latest loan recruit for Bolton, who snapped up Liam Feeney from Millwall, Neil Dann from Leicester and Cardiff's Kevin McNaughton last week.

Good! At least the board are putting their hands in their pockets to help Dougie out during our injury crisis.

For people who don't know which position he plays, he is a left back.

I think Copper Dragon should be able to tell us more about Danny Fax, as Saints signed him from Burnley.

This is the lad who used to play for Celtic and he's alright as I recall, but I think he's had a couple of expensive moves so may not be affordable. Doesn't bode well re Tierney's injury if they're after a FB/WB instead of a CB.

Another Palace reject. Seems Dougie just signs his mates.

I would have thought Sky's sources would be quite trustworthy to be honest and this deal being pretty much a dead cert seeing that they have posted the article online for the world to see.

Knowing Sky they have probably got us confused again with Blackburn. Ignorant smucks!

Always remember one thing, if it says 'Sky understands' or 'Sky sources' then question it.

Fox was prone to the odd defensive lap, infact it was always the same thing..... losing his player because of poor positioning.

He's got a beaut of a left foot and can put in a great cross and he's certainly a better bet than Tierney.
