Remember this one.

That hurt me for days after, I was 15 and Sasa Curcic hit a great shot saved by Schmeichel before the onslaught .

I really disliked UTD before that game, but that might of triggered the hateful detesting feeling.

Name some.

I nearly had a fucking stroke when this popped up on YouTube.

I thought it explained why we've been so shit on match days, if this is what Dougie's get 'em doing all week at Euxton.

Turns out it's not us though, so it's ok.

Get your own fuckin' name, Yankee bastards!

First time I've ever watched those goals back, still painful to be honest.

I know we were shit, but it was one of those days when everything Stoke tried worked for them. Huth with a half volley? Etherington with a screamer? Walters with the best goal of his career? Unbelievable how we could be so bad and they could be so good.

I'd already booked a holiday in Kos when that semi final was scheduled. I would land back at Liverpool airport as the match was kicking off. I'd be lying if I said I ever contemplated cancelling the holiday to be there (what loser would do that?) but I was gutted. Talk about a lucky escape.

I still can't. I recognised the clip straight away and a shiver went down my spine - it could be some more years before I can ever think about watching those Stoke goals!!!

The worst day was undoubtedly the play-off final defeat to Tranmere.

I've just remembered another truly awful day - losing 3-2 in the FA Cup to Southampton in 1991.

1-1 with seconds to go and Julian Darby cracks in the sweetest volley you've ever seen and sends the absolutely PACKED away end mental. I remember coughing blood.

With literally 5 seconds to go Barry Horne tries a 40 yard shot out of pure frustration and Dave Felgate let's it slip through his hands. Absolute twat.

That was a long trip home.

Not helped by "Big Dave" who was driving our minibus turning right onto the M62 at Leeds instead of left.

I woke up at about four in the morning to see a sign at the side of the road saying "Kingston Upon Hull 12 miles."

Fucking idiot.....

There have been some stinkers but looking back at the contrast between the pre-match mood at Wembley and the game itself, the Stoke game was a real downer. In fact it's depressing me to think about it now. The film outside the Greyhound reminded me of laughing at Frank abusing the late arrival Stoke fan coaches when they drove past. Never thought it would turn out the way it did.
