When Eagles was playing, he tended to be our most Creative player, he has a few ineffective games and now he can't get back in the team, has he suddenly gone rubbish?

I think Dougie decided a couple months ago that we needed to be harder to beat. As a result, battlers like Danns and Pratley have been preferred to Eagles, who has a lot of technique but struggles with the physical side of the game.
Being hard to beat is good, but you can be hard to beat and still finish nowhere near where you want to be.
You know what you're gonna get with Danns and Pratley, unlike Eagles, but sometimes you have to take those gambles.

Danns is far more than a battler. For me Danns has become the key man. Possibly my favourite player right now.

Eagles is one of the clubs highest earners, he's inconsistent, he's a fanny and the January sales are just around the corner. Bye!

i think he will struggle to get back in now and wouldn't be surprised to see him leave in the summer. I am surprised that he's not in the team as Dougie said a few times he wanted to build a team around Eagles.

His hearts not in it.
He is thinking some big move will happen in Jan, same as Ngog is...

I think Eagles walked the line between being creative and running around like a headless chicken. Way too many speculative shots and head down, failing to spot a pass. But he could be great if he was willing to apply himself and although it's not looking good for him right now, he could become more of a team player and play an important role if his head is in the right place.

Eagles was far more consistent than Davies, and less injury prone.Boggersbelief wrote:We haven't missed him, plus mark Davies is back soon. Bye chris
The treatment of Eagles by Dougie has been typical of his way of dealing with players. If he doesn't get on with them personally they are out of the team - just like Craig Davies.
Chris Eagles was our leading scorer last season with the most assists - are we scoring so many goals that we can do without his creativity? And does anyone seriously think Pratley brings anything more to the team than Eagles?

How the fuck Hall is being picked over Eagles is a sackable decision on it's own IMO.

Hall was probably the best of a bad bunch today to be fair, the way eagles has been treated has been disgraceful. Players like spearing and medo have been poor all season and are still getting in the team. We are the 3rd lowest scorers in the division, if eagles had been playing i highly doubt that would be the case.

It's an personality thing, they don't get on but - unlike better managers than Dougie - he lets his personal feelings get in the way of the team. Just as he has done with Craig Davies.
Another reason why this clown should be sacked.

Seem to be favouring mediocrity over quality. Eagles is our best flair player, he should play.

Well Eagles was supposedly injured last night.... but agree with the above. Still our best player IMO.wessy wrote:See Nat you can talk sense totally agree.Natasha Whittam wrote:Eagles was far more consistent than Davies, and less injury prone.Boggersbelief wrote:We haven't missed him, plus mark Davies is back soon. When Dougie falls out with a player he soon becomes "injured".terenceanne wrote:Well Eagles was supposedly injured last night.... but agree with the above. Still our best player IMO.
He did exactly the same with Craig Davies.
Shameful.

He'll probably get lost trying to find his way out of the Reebok unless he learns to look up occasionally.scottjames30 wrote:Eagles is going in January .
