Been following the whites since the early sixties,so i aint stopping now. Even the dark days of the old fourth division couldn't keep me away. The difference now,is that football is becoming the luxury of the few. It was easy enough to shell out 2/6d on a saturday afternoon, and after the game go and book your seat on the coach for the next away game. Those days are gone. And yet, even though I know I'm being ripped off I still go. I'm the kind of supporter Gartside loves; namely,a mug. Because that's what we are. We allow loyalty and love of the club to obscure the fact that we're being pissed on from a great height, and quite frankly Natasha is probably right; unless supporters make a stand we will continue to be shafted. In the late sixties we went on strike, forcing the board to sign Roger Hunt in an effort to prove their ambitions for the club and attempt to woo us back. Can't see it happening now.

Me too mate, its in the blood.Sporting Lisbon, jesus you could have made the point without mentioning that match !!!! and Megson and WiganWhite84 wrote:I'm a season ticket holder and as much as DF fucks up,as much as Beckford misses pens and 2 sitters in last night game.As infuriating it is seeing N'gog coast through matches so he does not get injured and can go on a free at the end of the season.Going back to Megson taking the reserves to Sporting Lisbon when we could have met Rangers in the semi final of the EUFA Cup(WHY) to keep the players fresh for the Wigan match, which we lost 1-0 anyway.I will still be there Saturday because I love the club.

Bolton Nuts

All this, I love the club, loyalty etc etc is a load of old balls. Rose tinted glasses. Pretending being loyal is a big and mighty thing. I understand if to a degree and I would be a Bolton supporter regardless of the division- but if if it came to a point where it was no longer enjoyable and I felt the club were taking the mick then I think voting with feet is one of the only ways to provoke a reaction.
As it happens I think freedman will do ok - megson however, I stopped wanting to watch.
