It might have to be. Bournemouth have baulked at the £2 million fee and it is rumoured that £1.5 million is the asking price.
If only us and Bournemouth are interested it would suggest Joe is not all he is cracked up to be. He certainly isn't a lone striker.

I'm not a fan of Mason to be honest, didn't do enough for me when he was here.

This Mason rumour scares me. He did NOTHING in his short spell.
Hey Dougie, how about giving Craig Davies a go - the player you paid £300k for and haven't given a proper chance.

We have made an approach to Villa for Marc Albrighton apparantly.
Cracking signing if it comes off.

If we got Albrighton he would be quality after a few games under his belt.

Agree about albrighton, a player that runs at defenders and can put in a decent cross would be a welcome change.

Ah, so another one who "isn't match fit" to add to the ranks. Super.

I'm not saying he isn't match fit but it looks like him and Lambert don't see eye to eye. He could be as fit as a flea for all I know.

Rumour mill not in full swing yet, but the pace seems to be picking up.
If the Albrighton thing has any truth to it I'll be chuffed as I've always thought he's a great winger.
But still - where are the defenders? It seems that all the rumours are about wingers and strikers.

Tweet by Marc Iles "My contacts in Luxembourg (yes, I have them) tell me we're down to personal terms on the deal for Yannick Bastos."

So we're probably signing a development player (winger), possibly loaning a first team winger, and possibly signing a striker.Boggersbelief wrote:Tweet by Marc Iles "My contacts in Luxembourg (yes, I have them) tell me we're down to personal terms on the deal for Yannick Bastos."
That will really take the pressure off our beleagured defence.

Another tweet from Nixon was that the two main targets were mcnaughton and dawson (loan)

Hope he has backup targets for the defence, think we'll struggle for either of them.

I think we'll sign mcnaughton permanently if we can shift ngog

Isn't he starting for Cardiff right now?

I think we could do better than McNaughton anyway as he's been really shown up for lack of pace in the prem games he's started.
Dawson I'll believe when I see it.

He's just a stop gap for Cardiff, they are close to signing Fabio and Ivan Ramis, once they do they'll probably let mcnaughton leave.Hipster_Nebula wrote:Isn't he starting for Cardiff right now?

Are. It all depends on freeing funds up with ngogs departure I suppose.wanderlust wrote:Were or are?Boggersbelief wrote:Another tweet from Nixon was that the two main targets were mcnaughton and dawson (loan)
