Lee-Barrett, Threlkeld, Kellett, White, Holding, Vela, Lester, Holden , Clough, Iliev, Hall.

Strong side, let's hope Holdens knees don't shatter...

7pm kick off

@OfficialBWFC: Holden plays a sweeping pass out to White, but then clutches his right knee. (20) 0-0

@OfficialBWFC: Holden is down on the turf again after reaching for a loose ball. Doesn't look good. (26) 0-0

@OfficialBWFC: And that's the end of Holden's night. Good news is he was back on his feet and able to jog from the field. (27) 0-0

Oh dear...

It must be, I think we now need to realise and Holden also that he won't be back playing professional football or even a kick about in the park for that matter!

There's only so much injury/re-injury a knee can take sadly.

Could be precautionary...

Anyway Everton lead 1-0

Shame for the lad, but it's looking highly likely his career is finished now.

Sounds as if his knee wasn't ready or strong enough anyway. Whether or not it will ever be is a different question.

Possibly clutching at straws I know but was he expected to go the full 90 minutes? I thought he was going to play a half and see how he got on in a real match situation. The fact he jogged off himself would suggest it's not perhaps an injury per se, maybe it was discomfort from not having played a match in a year.

Hope you're right pete. Think he jogged off himself after the last injury though.

Game finished 3-2 to Everton. Vela missed a penalty at 2-2

Nobody expected him to complete 90 mins but their is no way he was due to go off like he did.

Sorry but going down like that after a pass hardly points towards a good comeback.
