This signing will be the end of Freedman in a few months.
Trotter will be absolute crap and the fans will want to know why he was signed after a poor loan spell.
Crazy signing, makes no sense whatsoever.

This will run and run. We all agree that Liam didn't show enough to justify a contract in the few games he played. We all know that Dougie rates him so he must have something more to bring to the table that we haven't seen yet. Or Dougie's an idiot - time will tell.
I only hope that whatever it is he sees in Liam comes out from the first game of the season and that Dougie is certain that within the budget available, there are no better options out there. Same applies to Danns IMO.

Not impressed his name reflects his game he trots about and does very little, in Dougie I despair !

Bit confused by the three year contract, but at least hes the right age for it (unlike Andrews). The deal was obviously in place since January, these are pretty common to be fair. I wouldn't have signed him, but I do think he offers more than Pratley and could potentially grow into being a decent player for us.
He improved as the weeks went by since January so i think he's got more to offer, especially as he'll have a full pre season under his belt. He really does make Pratley obsolete though, I hope we can get rid of him this summer.

Ten things: Liam Trotter in brief
Your ten-point guide to Wanderers' latest recruit, Liam Trotter
1. Liam Trotter was born in Ipswich on August 24, 1988.
2. Despite plying his trade as a midfielder throughout his professional career, Trotter initially featured as a striker during his teenage years.
3. Having played football locally as a youngster, he was scouted by Ipswich Town as a 16-year-old and joined their academy.
4. He scored his first senior goal on his home debut for the Portman Road outfit in a 2-1 victory over Colchester United in October 2007.
5. Trotter was also a member of the Tractor Boys’ FA Youth Cup winning team of 2005 who secured the trophy with victory over Southampton.
6. The 25-year-old has previously played with former Wanderers midfielder Ivan Campo during the Spaniard’s brief stint with Ipswich.
7. Alongside his four years with Ipswich Town and Millwall respectively, Trotter has also enjoyed loan spells with Grimsby Town and Scunthorpe United.
8. He joined Wanderers initially on loan on deadline day in January 2014 and made 16 appearances during his spell with the club including ten starts.
9. Trotter has previously shared a flat with former Wanderers loanee Liam Feeney.
10. He also won the club’s goal of the month award for April with his 35 yard volley against Sheffield Wednesday.

Let's see how Trotter performs during pre-season. I don't think he was fully match fit this season.

3 year contract?
He must be taking advice from Owen Coyle.

Solid signing, knows this league inside out. He and Mark Davies will be key to our promotion next year.

Not surprised by the signing and not overly happy with it either - appart from ''that goal'' against Sheff Wed he's done fuck all since he's been here.
