And they're also reporting that David Moyes is apparently being investigated by Lancashire Police for "an assault".
Wonder what on because it certainly wasn't the Premier League title.....

Sky have just said that Henrik Larsson is the 2/1 favourite to take over at Parkhead.
Didn't even know he was a manager now, so I googled it.
He's managing a team in the Swedish first division and his record is as follows:
Total number of games managed in his entire life - 10
Won - 3
Drawn - 2
Lost - 5
...and he's the 2/1 favourite.
Think we should nip in with a cheeky bid for him to replace Freedman?

There was something mentioned a while ago about Lennon managing in England - just after Celtic wrapped up the title with months to spare but at the time I think it was in connection with the Norwich job. Not sure which job it might be seeing as the Canaries got knocked off their perch. Fulham also got relegated and Lennon was associated with them at one stage.boltonbonce wrote:Heard this around 12 today. Reckon he's looking to manage in England.
He played for Leicester for a while so it would be a weird one if they sacked Pearson after getting them promoted.
I'm thinking WBA though.

Scotsmen on the phone to each other! It'll take 'em 2 days to decide who's reversing the charges.karlypants wrote:Someone phone Dougie up to let him know about the vacancy!

Moyes, Larssen and Coyle sound like the front runners.

Moyes would make sense- but the other two would be disasters. Celtic have one more nailed on Premiership title before the Hun are back and so they need someone who can manage a team from the off- they can't afford about 3 years until Larssen comes good. As for Coyle- nothing needs to be said about his managerial competence

I'd be surprised if Lennon left the top Scottish club with an annual ticket to European football to manage in the Championship even if it was one of his ex-clubs. I'll be interested to see where he ends up. Personally I thought he was lucky to get the Hoops job in the first place so this is a brave move unless he's got something definitely lined up.

Lennon will easily get offers down here. He's a big name and was successful at Celtic. It doesn't matter that it was probably the easiest job in the world.

Former Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle one of early favourites for Celtic job
Former Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is one of the early favourites to replace Neil Lennon as Celtic manager.
Lennon parted company with the Scottish champions yesterday and Coyle was one of those mentioned as a possible replacement.
The ex-Whites manager, who represented Republic of Ireland as a player, was born in Paisley.
Before taking charge at the Reebok he had spells managing north of the border with Falkirk and St Johnstone.
