They already have one tell them to fuck off with their expansion!
I'm quite angry at this as we have enough, they tried to take over the small church thing on Seymour Road not so long back which luckily got refused!

It was on Granada news last night. I noticed the protesters were considerably outnumbered by the local Stani population. The situation is only going to get worse. Most of the local councils have a policy of appeasement when it comes to granting planning permission. There is a bloody huge Mosque at the bottom of Halliwell Road where the Black Dog pub used to be so why do they need another giant Mosque on Blackburn Road less than a quarter of a mile away?

Unfortunately a reasonable debate can't be had about this, because the BNP jump on it straight away and it becomes a racist issue when it doesn't have to be. A similar thing happened when I lived in Birmingham 4 or 5 years ago, and they turned it into an anti-Islam hate campaign, you don't have to be racist to think building a huge mosque is a terrible idea.

“This protest is opportunistic racism. They can dress it up as much as they like, it is Islamaphobic.”
Oh dear. Islam is not a race.

I went to a school that was 50:50 white British, British asian (the one closest to the mosque in question incidentally), as of yesterday I live between two Muslim families, and there is a huge mosque at the bottom of my street.
I try to be as balanced as I can in these debates, but it's made very hard, mainly by the sanctimonious cretins that are out to ridicule anybody that wouldn't be ecstatic about opening their curtains to a mosque dome every morning. It also feels like big portions of the Muslim community want idiots from the BNP to create a drama out of these things, a lot more than they want peace, which I'm told is the translation of "Islam".
It's become a bad thing for British people not to want Britain to lose its identity, and that just plays into the hands of the BNP.

This is the artists impression of the new mosque:
We all know what that big tower is there don't we...so in a few years time they will be wailing through a mega phone once permission has been granted!!!

If they get the go ahead then someone should put in planning permission for a super casino right next door.
