1. Dean Moxey was born on January 14, 1986 in Exeter.

2. Moxey joined his local side Exeter City as a youngster and was handed a professional contract with the club following the Grecians’ relegation from the Football League.

3. His time at St James Park was a successful one, with the defender making 196 appearances and scoring 24 goals in six seasons.

4. During his stint at the club, he played a prominent part in Exeter’s 2005 FA Cup run, firstly scoring against Doncaster Rovers to earn a tie and subsequently a replay against Manchester United in the third round of the competition.

5. Moxey’s exploits, including helping the club secure promotion from the Conference at Wembley, earned him a move to Derby County in the summer of 2009.

6. Injuries in the Rams’ camp saw the full-back briefly employed as a striker during his time at the iPro Stadium.

7. After just 18 months in Derbyshire however, Moxey moved to the capital as Dougie Freedman secured the defender’s signature.

8. The Exeter-born man was also a part of the Crystal Palace team who reached the semi-finals of the League Cup, defeating Manchester United in the fifth round of the competition before bowing out against Cardiff City.

9. During his time with Palace, Moxey played alongside two former Wanderers in Andre Moritz and Jacob Butterfield.

10. Alongside his league exploits, the 28-year-old featured for England's C team during his time in non-league football with Exeter.

No need to fall out but bwfc1874 does make a valid case. Personally, I couldn't care less where Dougie signs players from as long as they can do a job for us.

Its nothing new West Ham fans were pissed at all the Bolton rejects he signed. Managers will obviously look to sign players that have done well for them previously, its less of a gamble.
