Anyway the truth of the matter is that I'm not on here enough recently to keep on top of all this shit.

Basically...

We DON'T want the site to get a reputation for being racist, and

We also DON'T want to see continual and persistent abuse taking place and aimed at specific members.

We DO want to grow the site and people simply won't bother if they see racist shit and targeted abuse - it's as simple as that. This is hurting our site and as got to stop.

The solution is one of two ways therefore -

People pack in the racism and personal attacks themselves right away, or we simply ban them until somebody like me can be about to keep a lid on things before they start going too far (and that might not be for a few months yet).

So, you've basically got tomorrow to do what you have to and either suffer the consequences of your actions or begin to learn to live with each other, which ever you decide.

Banter is fine, consistent and targeted abuse is not.

We've been working hard behind the scenes (for many months) to get Nuts more widely known in the internet world and finally we've managed to get ourselves linked in with a well known 'news collation' site called NewsNow.

This means we can now 'post' articles we publish on a site where Bolton Wanderers fans go to 'look' for news of the club - and therefore find out we exist and hopefully come looking to see what Nuts is all about.

Hence it is more important than ever to knock the racism on the head and cut way back on the persistent and targeted abuse.

Nobody wants to stop peoples fun on here but we want people to know there is a line and not to cross it.

One way to end all this conflict - a football tournament to let go of all the aggression!  It is the world game and everyone likes a good game f footy so lets solve it the way it is meant to be resolved - footy!!!

Just not the US version, although the AFL could be a good game, or even Hurling!!!

From now on then, if someone posts something which is openly racist (as has happened on this thread), instead of pointing it out and challenging them on it, I'll just ignore it and leave it to the mods - it's their site and if they judge that the language used is acceptable, that's their call.
